ONDA PRO and the appearance of cellulite
What cellulite is
Cellulite is the dimpled surface that appears where fibrous bands tether the skin to the tissue underneath, most often across the thighs and buttocks. It is extremely common, it is not a disease, and it has little to do with body weight — it appears in people of every size, which is part of why it responds so poorly to advice about weight.
What ONDA PRO is cleared to do about it
The clearance describes a temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite, delivered through the massage device. That is a statement about how an area looks, and it is time-limited by its own wording. We publish it in that form because the narrower sentence is the true one, and a clinic that states it correctly is telling you something useful about how it will treat you.
What it does not claim
The clearance makes no claim about removing tissue or changing body weight. What this site says elsewhere about how the treatment is offered is the clinic speaking for itself, not the 510(k). You are entitled to ask any clinic which 510(k) it is relying on and to read it yourself; ours is cited below.
Whether it suits you
That is a consultation question rather than a web-page question. It depends on the area, on what you want to change, and on what else you have tried — and an honest answer sometimes turns out to be that this is not the right platform for what you are asking for.
ONDA PRO, cleared as SPECCHIO, is FDA cleared for heating for the purpose of elevating tissue temperature for selected medical conditions such as temporary relief of pain, muscle spasms, and increase in local circulation — and, via the massage device, a temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite. 510(k) K260647
Aesthetic devices are cleared under FDA 510(k), which is not the same as approved. We cite the clearance so you can read the indication yourself. It describes the device, not any individual result — outcomes vary, and a consultation is what determines whether a treatment suits you.
