ONDA PRO at Minori
What ONDA PRO is
ONDA PRO is an energy platform built by El.En. that works with microwave energy at 2.45 GHz. Microwaves are absorbed by the water held in tissue, so the energy becomes warmth a few millimetres below the surface rather than heat laid on top of the skin. That warmth is the whole mechanism, and everything the device is cleared to do follows from raising tissue temperature in a controlled, measured way.
What the clearance actually covers
It is narrower than this industry usually prints, and it is worth reading rather than paraphrasing. The clearance covers heating to raise tissue temperature for temporary relief of pain and muscle spasm and an increase in local circulation, and — through the massage device — a temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite. The quotation and the 510(k) number sit at the bottom of this page.
How to read this section
Each page below answers one question and links to the others, so you can start wherever your question actually is. If you want the physics, begin with how it works. If you want to know whether it suits you, the honest answer is that a consultation decides that, and no page can.
New to the United States
ONDA PRO reached the United States on 2026-04-29, when its distributor brought Coolwaves to the U.S. and Canadian markets. A device cannot be in wide use in a city before it is on sale in the country, which is the honest version of what people usually mean when they ask whether many places nearby have one. Minori has one, in NoMad, Manhattan.
The names it goes by
El.En. builds and sells the platform as ONDA PRO, and its energy is marketed as Coolwaves — so a page about ONDA Coolwaves and a page about ONDA PRO are describing the same machine. Across Korea and much of Asia it is talked about as onda lifting, which is a market name rather than a description of what it is cleared to do here. This section uses one name throughout, and the safety page gives the third name, the one written on the clearance itself.
Where Minori is
The studio is in NoMad, Manhattan — a few blocks south of Koreatown, and within walking distance of Herald Square, Madison Square Park and the Garment District. These pages are published in Korean and Chinese as well as in English, because the questions people bring about this platform are the same in every language, and so is the clearance behind the answers.
ONDA PRO, cleared as SPECCHIO, is FDA cleared for heating for the purpose of elevating tissue temperature for selected medical conditions such as temporary relief of pain, muscle spasms, and increase in local circulation — and, via the massage device, a temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite. 510(k) K260647
Aesthetic devices are cleared under FDA 510(k), which is not the same as approved. We cite the clearance so you can read the indication yourself. It describes the device, not any individual result — outcomes vary, and a consultation is what determines whether a treatment suits you.
