- Sensation & comfort
- A mix of sensations, since the visit samples several treatments — warmth and pressure from the energy steps, brief snapping pulses from the laser. Numbing is used where it helps, and everything is paced to your comfort.
- Contraindications
- Not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, over active infection, inflammation or broken skin, or on recently tanned skin. Please tell us about recent isotretinoin use, photosensitising medication, any history of keloid scarring or cold sores, and any implanted electrical device.
- Aftercare
- Expect redness and warmth that settles over the following day. Cleanse gently, moisturise, and wear a high sunscreen daily. Leave exfoliating acids and retinoids until your skin has calmed, and skip saunas, hot showers and intense exercise for the first 24 hours.

After your treatment
Your first visit combines three treatments, so give your skin a quiet day or two afterwards. Expect warmth and redness, a sandpaper texture where the microneedling worked, and small dark flecks where the laser treated pigment.
