ONDA PRO for a double chin, jawline and neck
Submental fat, and why it sits there
The fullness under the jaw is submental fat — a shallow pad between the skin and the muscle beneath it. It is thinner than the fat of the abdomen and closer to structures that matter, which is why the face is treated with a smaller applicator, a slower pattern and shorter passes than the body.
Chin, jawline and neck read as one line
Reducing the pad under the chin without attending to the skin over it trades one kind of softness for another, which is why the three are treated together rather than one at a time. Warming the skin alongside the layer beneath it is what keeps the result looking like your own face rather than a corrected one.
Who it suits, and who it does not
It suits someone whose jawline has softened and who wants the contour back without surgery. It is not a facelift and it is not liposuction, and it is not sold as either. If the fullness under your chin is skin rather than fat, or the other way round, we will say so at consultation — and tell you plainly if a different treatment on our menu would serve you better.
What people call it when they ask
Almost nobody books this by its clinical name. It is asked for as a double chin, or as a jawline that has lost its edge, and those are one request — the request the smaller applicator exists for. Ask for it in your own words at consultation; we would rather answer the question you actually brought than the one the menu is written in. Minori is in NoMad, Manhattan, a few blocks south of Koreatown.
Every image below was supplied by Cartessa Aesthetics, the distributor of ONDA PRO, and each carries the treating clinician's name printed on the image itself. They show patients treated at other clinics, not at Minori. Individual results vary.

ONDA PRO, cleared as SPECCHIO, is FDA cleared for heating for the purpose of elevating tissue temperature for selected medical conditions such as temporary relief of pain, muscle spasms, and increase in local circulation — and, via the massage device, a temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite. 510(k) K260647
Aesthetic devices are cleared under FDA 510(k), which is not the same as approved. We cite the clearance so you can read the indication yourself. It describes the device, not any individual result — outcomes vary, and a consultation is what determines whether a treatment suits you.
