M22 IPL Photofacial or Pico Laser

Light and laser are not interchangeable, and the difference shows in what each one is asked to do here. The M22 is a broadband light platform; Pico is a picosecond laser. Reading the two columns side by side usually makes the choice obvious — and where it doesn't, a consultation will.

Pico Laser

Ultra-fast laser pulses break up dark spots, dullness, and unwanted ink — brightening and evening your tone with minimal downtime, so skin looks clearer and more luminous.

Side by side

Both even out tone. Our menu points the M22's broadband light at redness and visible vessels, and Pico's ultra-short pulses at stubborn pigment, scarring, and ink.

What it isA broadband light (IPL) platform. Brown spots and visible vessels absorb the light and are warmed, with a separate ResurFX fractional mode for texture.A picosecond laser. Pulses lasting trillionths of a second break pigment apart with pressure rather than heat, and the same energy prompts fresh collagen.

Which is right for you

Choose this when

M22 IPL Photofacial

  • 01Redness, flushing, or visible capillaries are what you notice first.
  • 02Sun damage sits across the whole face and you want overall clarity.
  • 03You'd like texture addressed within the same platform, through its ResurFX mode.
Choose this when

Pico Laser

  • 01Pigment is stubborn — melasma, or spots that gentler approaches have left behind.
  • 02Acne scars and texture are part of the concern.
  • 03You're looking to clear unwanted tattoo ink.
Still deciding

Frequently asked

What is the difference between IPL and a laser?

IPL is broadband light: it warms the pigment and vessels that absorb it. Pico is a laser delivering pulses so short they break pigment apart with pressure rather than heat. On our menu, IPL is pointed at redness, vessels, and sun damage; Pico at stubborn pigment, scarring, and ink.

Is either right for my skin tone?

IPL works best on certain skin types, so your provider assesses your skin before recommending it. Pico's settings are tailored to your skin type and it can be used thoughtfully across a range of skin tones. That decision belongs in a consultation, not on a web page.

How many sessions will I need?

Our menu offers a five-session course for each, and says Pico's course length is decided at consultation. Your provider sets the plan once they have seen your skin.
