A warm tingling that builds as the solution is applied and then eases. It is brief, and closely watched throughout.
Contraindications
Not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or over active infection, cold sores, or inflamed or broken skin. Please tell us about recent isotretinoin use, recent sun exposure or tanning, photosensitising medication, and any history of pigmentation disorders or keloid scarring.
Aftercare
Peeling and flaking are expected and are part of how the treatment works — let the skin shed on its own and never pull it. Cleanse gently, keep it moisturised, and wear a high sunscreen daily. Leave exfoliating acids, retinoids and waxing until the peeling has finished, and skip saunas and intense exercise for the first 24 hours.

Is VI Peel safe for darker skin tones?

Yes. VI Peel is formulated to be appropriate for a broad range of Fitzpatrick skin types when performed by a qualified provider.

Will my skin peel?

Most patients experience visible peeling beginning approximately 2–3 days after treatment. The amount of peeling varies from person to person.

How many treatments will I need?

Some patients notice improvement after one treatment, while concerns such as acne, pigmentation, or melasma often benefit from a customized series spaced about 4–6 weeks apart.

Can I wear makeup afterward?

Follow your provider's post-treatment instructions carefully. Makeup and active skincare products are generally avoided during the early healing phase.

Is VI Peel suitable for first-time chemical peel patients?

Many first-time patients are candidates, but an in-person consultation is recommended to determine the most appropriate formula for your skin.
