Caring for your skin after First Experience
What to expect, what helps, and what is worth telling us about.
Your first visit combines three treatments, so give your skin a quiet day or two afterwards. Expect warmth and redness, a sandpaper texture where the microneedling worked, and small dark flecks where the laser treated pigment.
- Cleanse with lukewarm water and clean hands only, and pat dry — no cloths, brushes or scrubs.
- Keep skin moisturised with something bland and fragrance-free.
- Wear a high-factor sunscreen every day and reapply outdoors.
- Leave make-up off until the skin feels comfortable again.
- Pause exfoliating acids, retinoids and vitamin C for a few days.
- Skip saunas, steam rooms, hot showers, swimming and intense exercise for the first 24 hours.
- Let any flaking, and any pigment that has darkened, shed on its own — picking risks marking the skin.
Warmth and tightness overnight are expected. Call us if you develop increasing pain, spreading redness, blistering, pus or fever.
General guidance for this treatment, not a personal care plan. The instructions your practitioner gives you at your appointment come first — follow those. If anything worries you afterwards, contact the clinic.
