Caring for your skin after Scalp Booster Therapy
What to expect, what helps, and what is worth telling us about.
The scalp has been treated through the skin, so keep it clean and undisturbed while it closes.
- Do not wash your hair for the rest of the day — leave the scalp alone.
- When you next wash, use lukewarm water and a gentle, non-medicated shampoo, with fingertips rather than nails.
- Skip styling products, dry shampoo, heat tools and tight styles for a day or two.
- Avoid swimming pools, saunas, steam rooms and heavy sweating for the first 24 hours.
- No colouring, bleaching or chemical straightening while the scalp is healing.
- Tenderness, mild redness and pinpoint marks settle over the following days.
Call us if you develop increasing pain, swelling, pus or any sign of infection.
General guidance for this treatment, not a personal care plan. The instructions your practitioner gives you at your appointment come first — follow those. If anything worries you afterwards, contact the clinic.
