Caring for your skin after Picofy Laser
What to expect, what helps, and what is worth telling us about.
Treated pigment usually darkens before it clears, and small flecks lift away over the following days. Redness and warmth right afterwards are normal.
- Cleanse gently, moisturise, and wear a high-factor sunscreen every day without exception — sun protection matters more after a laser than anything else you do.
- Avoid direct sun, sunbeds and self-tan on the treated area.
- Leave exfoliating acids and retinoids for a few days.
- Skip saunas, steam rooms, hot showers and intense exercise for the first 24 hours.
- Do not pick or scrub the darkened spots — let them flake away on their own.
Tell us if you see blistering, crusting that weeps, or redness that spreads rather than settles.
General guidance for this treatment, not a personal care plan. The instructions your practitioner gives you at your appointment come first — follow those. If anything worries you afterwards, contact the clinic.
