Caring for your skin after Laser Hair Removal · Full Body
What to expect, what helps, and what is worth telling us about.
Treated skin is often pink with small raised bumps around the follicles, like goosebumps; this usually settles within a day.
- Cool the area with a cool compress if it feels warm — never put ice straight onto the skin.
- Cleanse gently and moisturise with something bland and fragrance-free.
- Wear a high-factor sunscreen on any treated skin that sees daylight, and avoid sun, sunbeds and self-tan.
- Skip saunas, steam rooms, hot baths, swimming pools and intense exercise for the first 24 hours.
- No waxing, plucking, threading or epilating between sessions — shaving is fine.
- Avoid perfumed products and anything that rubs the area for the rest of the day.
- Hairs will appear to grow out and then shed over the following days — that is treated hair leaving, not regrowth.
- Wear loose cotton clothing rather than anything tight, and skip deodorant on treated underarms until any redness has gone.
- With a large area treated, feeling warm or a little tired afterwards is common — take the evening gently.
Tell us if you see blistering, crusting, or redness that increases rather than settles.
General guidance for this treatment, not a personal care plan. The instructions your practitioner gives you at your appointment come first — follow those. If anything worries you afterwards, contact the clinic.
