- Contraindications
- Not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, over active infection or inflamed skin, or on recently tanned skin — including self-tan and sunbeds. Please tell us about photosensitising medication, recent isotretinoin use, and any history of cold sores in the area. Don't wax, pluck or thread beforehand: the hair root needs to be in place.
- Aftercare
- Expect redness and small bumps around the follicles for a short while — a cool compress helps. Wear sunscreen on exposed areas and avoid sun, sunbeds and self-tan between sessions. Skip hot showers, saunas, swimming pools and intense exercise for the first 24 hours. Shaving between appointments is fine; waxing and plucking are not.
