Numbing cream is applied first; most people feel light pressure and a vibration rather than pain.
Contraindications
Not suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or over active acne infection, cold sores, eczema or broken skin. Please tell us about any history of keloid scarring, recent isotretinoin use, blood-thinning medication, and recent sun exposure.
Aftercare
Skin will look flushed, a little like light sunburn, and settles over the following days. Cleanse gently, use only what your practitioner recommends, and wear sunscreen daily. Leave make-up, exfoliating acids and retinoids until your skin has calmed, and skip swimming, saunas and intense exercise for the first 24 hours.

How many treatments will I need?

Most clients see noticeable improvement after one treatment, while a series of 3–6 sessions typically delivers the best long-term results.

Is there downtime?

Expect mild redness similar to a sunburn for approximately 24–48 hours. Recovery varies depending on skin sensitivity and treatment intensity.

Is the treatment painful?

A topical numbing cream is applied beforehand to maximize comfort. Most clients describe the sensation as mild to moderate.

When will I see results?

Can Dermapen 4 be combined with other treatments?
