Sofwave™ · SUPERB™ Ultrasound

Sofwave™ for facial lines and wrinkles

FDA cleared to improve facial lines and wrinkles by rebuilding collagen and elastin at 1.5 mm in the mid-dermis — without needles, peeling, or downtime.

Why facial lines respond to 1.5 mm mid-dermal ultrasound

Perioral lines, cheek rhytids, forehead lines, and accordion lines form as the mid-dermal collagen matrix thins with age. Sofwave™ places 7 parallel cylindrical thermal zones horizontally at 1.5 mm beneath the epidermis, covering a high percentage of the mid-dermis per pulse while Sofcool™ contact cooling keeps the skin surface intact.

Treatment protocol and sensation

After 30–45 minutes of topical numbing at our NoMad studio, the handpiece is stamped methodically across the cheek, perioral, and forehead zones over 30–45 minutes. You feel a brief 4-second wave of deep warmth at the end of each pulse followed immediately by cooling, and you can apply makeup or return to work right away.

How many sessions and timeline

Most guests seeking improvement in facial lines and wrinkles begin with 1 full-face session, with a 2nd session spaced 6–12 months later depending on baseline laxity. New collagen fibers mature steadily over 8–12 weeks.

Regulatory status

Sofwave, cleared as Sofwave System, is FDA cleared for improvement of facial lines and wrinkles, lifting the eyebrow, lifting lax submental and neck tissue, improvement of upper arm laxity, treatment of acne scars, and temporary reduction in the appearance of cellulite, in subjects aged 22 and older. 510(k) K250146

Aesthetic devices are cleared under FDA 510(k), which is not the same as approved. We cite the clearance so you can read the indication yourself. It describes the device, not any individual result — outcomes vary, and a consultation is what determines whether a treatment suits you.
