HydraFacial in Chinese: What 水飞梭 Means

4 November 2026

The Chinese name 水飞梭 refers to our HydraFacial treatment. What a visit involves, who it suits, and what it cannot do.

The Chinese pages of this site list the treatment as HydraFacial 水飞梭 — the English brand name with its Chinese rendering beside it. 水飞梭 (shuǐ fēi suō) refers to the same device-based facial, offered at the same NoMad studio in Manhattan and booked the same way. The other treatments on the Chinese pages carry their English names the same way, so nothing about the appointment changes with the language a page is written in.

What the treatment is

HydraFacial uses vortex technology to deeply cleanse, exfoliate, extract impurities and infuse the skin with antioxidants, peptides and hydrating serums, all in one comfortable treatment with no downtime. The session runs about an hour at Minori's NoMad studio.

How a visit works

Every appointment follows the same four steps: a consultation with a skin analysis and an honest plan, a gentle cleanse and prep, the treatment itself with a certified specialist, and aftercare guidance to take home. The treatment is comfortable throughout — the studio describes it as a cooling, refreshing facial with gentle suction and serum infusion. Skin may look flushed for a short time afterwards, and most people return to their normal activities straight away. Treatments every four to six weeks are commonly recommended for ongoing maintenance.

Who it may suit

The studio describes the treatment as suitable for many skin types, including sensitive skin. It suits dull or dehydrated skin, congested pores and blackheads, and skin that wants hydration without a long recovery. Every appointment is adjusted to the skin in front of you, so the serums and the strength of the treatment are set during the consultation rather than fixed in advance.

What it cannot do

It is a professional facial, not a clinical procedure, and it does not reach the deeper structural concerns that energy-based and needling treatments are used for. It is also not a substitute for a dermatologist's assessment of a concern that is persistent or worsening. A few things change the plan rather than the outcome: active skin infection, open wounds, severe sunburn, certain inflammatory skin conditions, and recent procedures that still need to heal. The studio asks about medications, allergies and pregnancy before the session starts.

Aftercare

The guidance afterwards is simple: avoid excessive heat, steam rooms and strenuous exercise for 24 hours, wear sunscreen daily, keep the skin well hydrated, and leave exfoliating acids and retinoids alone for a day or two unless your provider says otherwise.

A consultation decides whether this is the right treatment for your skin, and the plan is confirmed against your skin, your history and your medications before anything goes ahead. Book one at Minori's NoMad studio in Manhattan.
